Comm errors are typically internet issues but can mean different things when trying to run a transaction
A good first test is a PING test.
- Press F1
- Go to Comm Status
- Press Down Arrow twice or Up Arrow once
- Press OK on PING
- Select Google.com
- Press OK
If PING fails, it is an internet issue. Troubleshoot accordingly by restarting the router or modem. If PING succeeds, continue to the instructions below.
Check the Date and Time on the terminal. If Dejavoo terminals have incorrect date, this can cause a comm error. This can be done by following the instructions to edit date and time.
If time is incorrect, fix it and run test trans. If time is correct, continue to the next step.
Change DID and provision. Dejavoo terminals can read comm errors even when there is a status error as we know it.
This can be fixed by building a Datawire for the next device ID, and changing it in the terminal AND file (or just file if you can run a download).

If everything tried up to this point still has not worked, call your Internet Service Provider ISP and verify port 443 is "whitelisted" (open).
